I love animals... really honestly do.
My favorite is the cheetah mainly because it's the cat-dog hybrid in the animal kingdom.
(for Those of you unaware, the cheetah has many obvious feline qualities, but it's bone structure is much like a canine's and it's claws are not retractable)

Some random facts about cheetahs::
~They are the only Big Cats with claws that can NOT be retracted
~They can reach speeds well up to 80 miles an hour
~some cheetahs have a rare pattern called KING cheetah, which is a cheetah with stripes
~cheetahs cannot roar
~The cheetah's "tears" have a legend behind them about a mother and her three cubs : :
A mother cheetah had three beautiful fuzzy cubs. One day she went out hunting, and during her search for food, another animal appeared in her den. When the mother cheetah returned home, she found her babies covered in blood, dead. She sat there and cried, her yowling reaching the ears of all the cheetahs of the world. They too sat down and cried with the poor mother, until black tears permanently stained their faces.


My pet peeve: When people mistake jaguars, leopards, and cheetahs for each other.

Cheetah - yellow fur, solid spots, slender figure, long legs. designed to run.
leopard- golden fur, rosette spots, medium legs, medium frame. Designed to climb.
jaguar - golden fur, rosette AND solid spots, stocky legs, bulky body, considerably larger then both leopard and cheetah, large jaw line, 3rd largest cat in the world. designed for power.

I have so many dogs. XD Probably explains why my dragons are so doggish.

I lurrrvee cheetahs too Kit. I love that they chirp like birds, rather than roar. I also hate when people mix them up.

How many dogs Zov? and what breed? I have a Dog, an Australian Kelpie called Elmo.

I used to have about 40... now I have about 20. Chihuahuas, rat terriers, a rot, a german shepard mix, dachshunds, and sooo many mixes. XD

Awww, i love German Shepards and dachshunds. Do you breed dogs, or are you just a massive dog lover? xD

Little of column A, a little of column B... we used to breed dogs (we couldn't get them all spayed/neutered), but we're pretty much just massive dog lovers. XD

I am getting a bengal kitten soon! He/she will be born on the 25th, i'm so excited. Sure, i'll have to wait 12 weeks after that, but they are such cool cats so its very muchly worth it. xD

I actually have a black kitten with a white tip tail. Though he is kind of sick. :<

Oh noes, what kind of sick? I might be able to help, though maybe you should take him to a vet?

Not sure yet...we may continue with the sesame street theme we have going with our pets, so snuffy, ernie, bert, zoe, grouch, oscar, grover....blah.

Or maybe get a girl cat and call her kevin....shake things up a lil. xDDD

Eh, my mom studied being a vet for quite a while... she's been able to save every one of our pets, so I trust her. An eye infection... and he limps. She said she was gonna hafta try and get some medicine tomorrow.

She isn't one. XD She just studied... she's a very smart woman. She tried so many different things, but right now she's a nurse. Mechanic/Nurse/Vet/Publisher/Dentist... it can be kind of terrifying. o__O

Awesome! It's very competitive, though.

Most animal related work fields are competitive.
I mean, I work a seasonal job at the zoo but you can only imagine how many people apply to work there every year. On the plus side, once you get a job there, they know you and keep hiring you every year X3

I know a few vets so i should be able to get a job with them. My mother is going to be a animal rescuer like you see on those animal cop shows soon, so maybe i can help her with her feild work. its so handy to have a critter loving mother. xD

Hey Zovesta, you should come over and groom my doggie lol
She really needs to be groomed. The thing is, she hates water, and my tub is broken, so all we can do is put her in the shower.... but the shower has no door.... so she is currently one smelly dog XD

Lol, and you could wash her with that nummy scented shampoo.

XD Well... just get a brush and go through it. You can even put her in the sink if she's a small dog. Make sure to get out all of the snarls.
